Going Green and Online Faxing
If you have ever turned on the news, or checked out online campaigns, or listened to political slogans, you’ve probably heard of “Going Green.” It is an attempt to mobilize a global movement with the aim of preserving our fragile environment around us, and protecting our natural resources to ensure that it will be around for our children and our children’s children. Going green not only means you cut back on your consumption of fossil fuels and oil.
Think of a normal day in your office. Now think of how many pages of paper you are printing out from your computer, your fax machine, etc. Many of us print out hundreds of pages of paper without even necessarily having to. To send and receive faxes requires the use of paper, just one more way we are wasting our natural resources. The more paper that we consume, the more forests are being cut down to meet our need. Many green campaigns will have paper waste as a central part of their agenda.
So what can we do to help with the green campaigns? Cutting back on the amount of paper used is one prime method of doing our part. In an office, faxing is one area that can be adapted to a green campaign. Online faxing offers us the option to send and receive faxes without ever having to print out a page. You can use your computer to send a fax, and the recipient will receive that fax on their email, and can view it as an attachment. It completely eliminates the need for any paper, and for those of us who are committed to going green, there’s no better option. Online faxing is just as reliable as traditional faxing, and is in fact more convenient in certain elements. Online faxing, enabling you to eliminate the use of paper entirely, is really a green alternative.
